​Shown in this freezer vitrine is a snowflake I caught on a piece of ice in Alfred, NY in March 2011.
Between two equally slumped sheets of float glass grows frost due to the temperature and moisture difference between the inside and the outside atmosphere. The wish to preserve and display a snowflake follows the desire of gaining control over time and beauty.
