(100301072020) Weißes Rauschen (White Noise) is a glass sculpture I made during the spring and early summer 2020 which I spend in isolation in the Bavarian Forest. Everything seemed to have been frozen in time during this first lockdown. Absolute peacefulness mixed with an inner restlessness and unknown confusion. This lack of control and the desire to freeze moments in time has always been a theme in my work and became even more relevant and a true experience during this period of uncertainty and reflection. Writing became even more important for me; but again more as a visual reflection of a fragmented state of mind than a source of information.
