Sombre is a glass cast of a devil´s club leaf, a plant that is growing in the Pacific North West These surreal, gigantic leaves pull me into a fascination of beauty and terror. Detracted from its fresh, lively green the leave turns into a shadow, a timeless object, a clock-like reminder of death.
